Looking good Kaiapoi - NZ's future top river town!
One of the last pieces in Kaiapoi's riverside revamp is now in place, with a huge floating pontoon lifted into position.
The 111-metre-long pontoon made of concrete with a polystyrene core was lifted onto the water in 11 separate pieces with a 90-tonne crane over two days last week.
