Canterbury's only indoor skate park opens in Rangiora

Canterbury's only indoor skate park has opened its doors – in Rangiora.

The facility is the brainchild of Steve and Debbie Wood, but is likely thanks to their 14-year-old son, Damian, an avid skate park enthusiast.

The Barn, on Flaxton Rd, is essentially a warehouse half full of ramps and grind rails, offering something for all abilities. The only conditions for riders are they must wear a helmet, and parental permission is needed for anyone under the age of 18.
