Italian translator needed

Rachel Neighbourly Lead from Kaiapoi

So our heritage is Italian but unfortunately all.the people on our family that spoke it fluently have passed away. My older daughter wants to get a tattoo saying
"Raise your head to a better day"
"Forwards not backwards"

These would be two separate lines.please if anyone can help and knows Italian and how to speak it could you do us a solid and translate it for us.
