Ōtaki Family History Society Genealogy Meeting
This months meeting is on the 25 February with the Topic; "What have you discovered over the holidays. Come and share your stories”. at the Dr Gertrude Atmore Supper Room, Memorial Hall, Main St, Otaki, start time 7.30 p.m.
Future meetings will be held on the 4th Tuesday of the month.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
