Veggie Plants Waikanae and Otaki Markets This Weekend

Val from Otaki District

We still have good supplies of most heirloom tomato varieties but this will be the last weekend for some. Lovely strong plants that need planting now. $3.00 each or 6 for $15.
This week we are featuring the hard-to-get 'Perfect Flame', which we regard as the Rolls Royce of yellow/orange tomatoes with a sweet tangy taste and superior disease resistance.
Also 'Kumato', one of the best of the more recent introductions, with reddish brown/green coloration and superb taste.
We also have sweet capsicum (red, yellow and purple) plus several varieties of zucchini, scallopini and pumpkin/squash as well as kumara and basil.
Next week we are hoping our cucumber and hot chillies will be ready.
