While some passengers may continue to wear face coverings out of personal preference, the focus for all passengers should now be on personal hygiene measures and tracking journeys. Metlink is encouraging all passengers to log their travel, using the Government’s COVID-19 tracing app for contact tracing purposes. Kāpiti photographer Murray Short is pushing ahead with a calendar to raise funds for the Mary Potter Hospice.
The calendar will feature pictures of Kāpiti sunsets

Kāpiti photographer Murray Short is pushing ahead with a calendar to raise funds for the Mary Potter Hospice.
The calendar will feature pictures of Kāpiti sunsets
The project has had a set back with the theft of money raised at a pub quizz to help to offset the printing cost.
The bar was, however, broken in to over the weekend and a jar of cash stolen. Short publicised the situation on social media and was delighted when locals rallied around offering money, practical helps and offers to buy the calendar.
The calendar will now be going ahead and Short says he is delighted by the community support.
