Upper Hutt Santa Parade 2020
Christmas is just around the corner and that means Upper Hutt’s iconic Santa Parade is less than two months away (6 December) and this year, the theme is ‘Kiwi Christmas’.
If you haven’t registered your float yet, there’s still time. Don’t forget, you could win a $1,000 prize for the float that best reflects the ‘Kiwi Christmas’ theme or a $250 prize for the People’s Choice Award.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
