'Love Every Drop' rock hunt
It's been awesome to see so many people looking after and loving our water over the (hot) past few days.
To celebrate these awesome people, and to make the most of being outdoors in the sunshine, we thought it was the perfect time for a rock hunt.
We've hidden some #loveeverydrop rocks around Lower Hutt, and if you find one and bring it in to Wellington Water's office and you will receive a prize.
So put your explorer boots on, slap on some sunscreen, and get hunting around the Lower Hutt region as there are only 10 to be found.
Over the next few weeks we'll be hiding some rocks in Porirua, Wellington and Upper Hutt, so keep your eyes peeled to find out when the rocks are in your region.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
