For all those doubters and deniers, electric cars have just announced their impending start to impact on the roads world wide.

The important Volvo car makers - European vehicle giants and Chinese-owned - are going completely electric and hybrid ( electric with a small capacity fuel back-up).

The Wellington City Council is already committed to an all-electric public bus fleet.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
