Scam Alert: ASB 🚨
Beware of an impersonation scam involving a fake ASB verification email, and phone call from scammers.
The email mentions a fake case number and names an ASB representative. This is followed up by a phone call from the scammers who attempt to gain access to account details and steal funds.
👉 Remember, don't accept an email as proof of ASB verification.
👉 When you're on a call with ASB, they can verify it's really ASB using Caller Check through the ASB Mobile Banking app.
👉 If you've provided your bank details to a suspected scammer, please contact your bank and the New Zealand Police immediately.
