in the whole area of the Mid-South Canterbury rural fire district between the Rakaia River and the Waitaki River, sea to the Alps.

RESTRICTED FIRE SEASON
(PERMIT REQUIRED) for:
• High Country Zones
• Ashburton Coastal, Timaru Coastal and Waimate Coastal zones
• Geraldine and Waimate Forest zones
A permit is required to light a fire in open air in these areas.

See www.checkitsalright.nz... to apply for a permit online or call 0800 658 628.

You can also check for types of fire which have been authorised as not being fires in open air and do not need a permit.
