We are a small group dedicated to improving the water quality in the Rangataua Harbour primarily by fencing and planting the margins of the Waitao Stream in native plants. We meet on a fortnightly basis to plant or prepare plants for planting (collecting seeds, potting up etc.) Anyone interested in helping out is always welcome.
Our next planting is on Sunday 22nd April @ 498 Waitao Road between 10am - 12pm (with a cup of tea and light snacks to follow). All you need is a spade (if you like digging holes) or gloves if you would prefer to plant :) Some good shoes or boots are also recommended.
This is a great opportunity to come along and meet some of your neighbours (especially if you live in the Welcome Bay area) and also to do your bit for future proofing our environment.

The caravan isn’t roadworthy and not worth the effort but between the hours of 6am and 8am this morning in broad daylight they came onto the property cut through fences to steal it. If anyone living down Kaitemako Rd or nearby saw this happen please let us know.
