Daffodil Day
Greetings Folks. This Friday 26th August is Daffodil Day, the Cancer Society's Annual Fundraiser Street Appeal. I still have some stands in Te Awamutu and Kihikihi which require some extra Volunteers to collect donations. Also, if you have fresh daffodils which you can donate, we would be very grateful, and you can drop them off at the Baptist Church Hall on Thursday morning. Please txt Kathy Phone 022 066 4250.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
