Craft Sewers - Home Based
Music Moves Me Trust is raising funds to provide Music therapy for dementia patients via market stalls. You can choose the amount of time you want to sew - from 1-4 hrs per week. You will need to have Intermediate sewing skills, to use your own machine and be able to follow instructions or patterns. Full instructions and fabrics are provided. You could sew at home anywhere in the Waikato. If you prefer, you can choose to come along to the craft group on a Tuesday in Hamilton. For further information, phone Pat 027 6330818
Vandalism is costing ratepayers - what can be done to better protect our public spaces?
Vandals have repeatedly damaged public amenities across the Waikato District, leaving ratepayers to pick up the bill. So far in 2025, the cost has climbed to nearly $123,000, reports the Waikato Times.
The council is urging residents to report vandalism as soon as possible.
