Family shocked at death of Jeff Srhoj, months after crash
The family of a man who died months after breaking his neck in a car crash are shocked by his sudden demise.
Jeffrey Eric Srhoj, 48, of Awanui, died in Middlemore Hospital's spinal unit on Saturday after being injured in a crash in the Far North on January 28.
The accident near Houhora left him stranded on the roadside for five-and-a-half hours with a broken neck, but he was getting used to communicating with his eyes, by spelling out words using a coloured spelling board, before he died.
