Queen Victoria Lithograph
In support of Ancestry Month August 2022, we're showing the spectacular Queen Victoria lithograph. Historically significant to Waipā, it was commissioned by Queen Victoria and gifted In 1849 to Hoani Papita Kahawai and Kingi Hori Te Waru of Ngāti Apakura from Rangiaowhia as an acknowledgement of a gift of flour from their flour mill. Roadworks on SH1 between Hampton Downs and Rangiriri
From 7 to 18 December, there will be night-time closures on SH1 between Hampton Downs and Rangiriri (Sundays to Thursdays, 9pm to 5am) to carry out wire rope barrier maintenance. Please expect delays when travelling through this area.
