Helping people to know what their rights and responsibilities are and how they can act on these is core to what the Citizens Advice Bureau is about. We help people from all walks of life to access the information they need so they are empowered to take next steps and to resolve their problems.
A highlight of this year’s Awareness Week is the launch of the CAB’s new public website - www.cab.org.nz.... After a year of development and user testing, the resulting website provides an accessible, mobile-friendly, knowledgebase of 2,000 questions and answers about people’s rights that are based on real issues confronted by clients.
The information about rights is grounded in the law but is practical and is expressed in a way that’s easy to understand.
The website also provides a directory of more than 30,000 community organisations so that the CAB can help connect people with any additional services they need.
We’re keen to break down any barriers people face in finding out what their rights are. Our new website is a fantastic resource for the whole community, and complements the amazing face-to-face and phone service provided by our skilled and dedicated volunteers.
We invite you to Discover Your Rights with us this Awareness Week by checking out our new website www.cab.org.nz..., calling us 0800 367 222, or by visiting your local CAB. We’re here to help.

We have a sweet old girl we need to rehome. We adopted her as her owner had been placed in a nursing home and she ended up at the SPCA. We decided to adopt her as that's a sad place to be for an old girl. She is very cuddly and loves to head bump and snuggle on laps. She spends all her time with me as I work from home. She's asleep on my desk as we speak. She is lovely to us her new humans but horrible to our own resident cat that we have had for 9 years. Despite following all the rehoming instruction to the letter. She tortures him and now he is very anxious and won't come to numerous places in the house that he was so comfortable in before. She beats him up every chance she gets and now he has started fighting back. Its ugly folks. So I am asking for a kind soul who doesn't have any other pets to take her and love her as much as we do. As far as I know, Minnie has had a nice life before us. It's just unfortunate she is unwilling to share her new humans with our cat. Please help!

Hi, would anyone have a use for this microwave. It's a Panasonic 32l inverter. It works perfectly but it's rusted on the inside. Maybe someone can use it for parts? Let me know if anyone is interested.

It was stolen from our driveway in Wallace Td TePuna West today between 8.30am and 6.pm. Were you out walking on Wallace Rd on Thursday?
It is predominately white with brown/ tan highlights. It has a custom made tow rack- bar on the back and it has roof racks ( home made). Its roughly 4.5m when closed down, pretty much identical to the pic below. Any sightings or suspicious activity noticed in the Wallace rd/ Snodgrass Rd area please get in touch. It was towed out of our drive with the handbrake on so probably needed to stop at some point to sort that. It also had a 50mm tow ball which is not standard so you might see it dumped. If they didn't have the correct 50mm tow ball it could easily have jumped off the car. Thanks for any help you can give in finding this
