Weeds in amongst Ajuga ground cover.
Hi Neighbours,
Does anyone know what I can use to kill small green shoots that are growing among the Ajuga ground cover I have under some trees.
We planted the Ajuga instead of bark, as the birds make such a mess when they scatter it, there is a tui feeder on one of the trees, and underneath it all these small green shoots are growing, I suspect from the droppings of the tui's.
I can't do a lot of bending now with arthritis in my spine, have got a kneeler I can use, but getting down on to it and up again is not a pretty sight!!!!! and I would still have to shift it all the time to get to the areas I want to weed. The gardeners here won't weed it, so I would like to be able to spray it, without killing the Ajuga.
I had thought of lawn weed "n" feed, but rung Palmers and they thought it would still kill the Ajuga. So I thought I would post this question in case someone else has had the same problem. Thanks.

I'm a fruit. If you take away my first letter, I'm a crime. If you take away my first two letters, I'm an animal. If you take away my first and last letter, I'm a form of music. What am I?

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?
