Join founding member of the Otanewainuku Kiwi Trust Carole Long for a special visit to the Otanewainuku forest!
The team will welcome visitors to the site and explain the work being done to protect wildlife and unique vegetation on site, then guided walks will be taken after.
This is a FREE event 🌱 Please meet at the Otanewainuku Trig Walk Carpark at 9:15am ready to start the walk at 9:30am.
How to get there:
619/667 Mountain Road, Oropi
Take Oropi Road south from Tauranga and turn onto Mountain Road just past Oropi. There is a small car park, public shelter, toilet and picnic area by the road. Alternatively, access Mountain Road from No 2 Road near Te Puke.
Tuesday 21st March is also World Forest Day!
