Water leak affects supply to Te Puke and Eastern Zone
Council is repairing a large water leak on a supply line in its Eastern Water Supply Zone that is affecting water supply to Te Puke.
The loss of water from this leak, added to extremely high water consumption due to the hot weather, has put significant pressure on Council’s ability to service demand.
Council’s Utilities Manager Kelvin Hill is asking people to conserve water use over the next 24 to 48 hours to allow the water supply to replenish.
Council is advising consumers to contact its Customer Care team on 0800 926 732 for further information.
