The Sunday Star-Times is examining how Covid-19 has impacted our social lives. Are you having less social connection or are you less likely to see people? Do you feel lonely during the week? We're keen to talk to people about how their social contact has changed since the lockdown. If you're happy to be interviewed and identified, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will be introducing kerbside waste collections for all households from 1 July 2021.
That means you will be provided with new rubbish, recycling and food scraps bins to use alongside your current glass crate.
The service will cost $230 for the first year, and will be added to residential rates from 1 July 2021. You can also choose to have an additional garden waste collection for an extra $60 for the first year.
The new collections will make reducing waste easier, more accessible and more affordable for our whole community.
We know you'll have lots of questions, so head to our website for more info: www.tauranga.govt.nz...
I am forwarding this in the name of "Good neighbour":
We are currently looking for two or three people who will commit to helping Good Neighbour. in a slightly later shift. We are finding that with the increase in food and the extra sorting and other related tasks that cleaning, and end of day tasks are not being done.
This shift is will be from 1.30pm until approx.3pm. Some of the things that will be required for this later shift will include cleaning the lunch room, prepping the trucks for the next day, cleaning bathrooms, sorting the freezer, vacuuming the office areas, helping to unload pellets.
Please let me know if you, or someone you know might be interested in helping out with this shift. We would really appreciate the help for this shift.

Currently some activities on council land require a booking but council doesn't charge fees. This includes things like wedding ceremonies, small community events, professional photography and filming.
Other activities like community groups using a building, or private and commercial uses are charged a fee.
What are your thoughts on which activities should be free, and which should pay a fee to use the land?
Take our survey and let us know here: www.tauranga.govt.nz...
