There’s less than one week left to vote in the Te Awanui Ward by-election.
Voting closes at midday, Tuesday 29 April.
Visit He Puna Manawa – Tauranga Library, 21 Devonport Road, 9am – 5.30pm weekdays to enrol on the Māori roll and cast a special vote.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
