Having a poor night’s sleep?

We caught up with Dr Angela Campbell, PhD Manager of the WellSleep Centre, University of Otago, Wellington and she provided us with some insights into the most common symptoms women might experience whilst going through menopause, which are insomnia, hot flushes, snoring and obstructive sleep apnoea. Dr Campbell states, “these are all common side effects of menopause and can affect up to 70% of women.” So, if you’re experiencing sleepless nights and suddenly disturbing your partner with this new-found snoring, you’re certainly not alone.

If you are experiencing these symptoms, you might be interested to learn that Patney offer an effective, non-invasive and temperature neutral solution that can assist with controlling your snoring - the Patney sleep positioner, has undergone independent validation testing by the WellSleep Centre, Otago University. We are so confident about the Patney sleep positioner that we offer a 30-day money back guarantee. For further information head across to our website at www.patney.com

Hi Matua neighbourhood :) I'm fundraising for a trip in June to PNG to help out on a medical ship that administers to remote coastal towns in Papua New Guinea. I'm on the team that educates and makes the 1000s of people waiting to be seen comfortable.

If you're interested in helping me fundraise and also interested in recycling glass then would you let me know? I'm offering a $5 weekly glass pick on Friday 11th, 18th, 25th May & 1st June.

If you want to do this THANK YOU!!!! It will make so much of a difference and means a lot to me and the people we'll help in PNG.
Let me know on 0226410695 with your address and dates you want collection.

Naomi Cowland 02-0404-0010483-35 is the account you can pay into for the collection and if you could reference your address that would be great.

Collect your glass in whatever bin, bucket or box you have (no bigger then about a banana box size please), put it out on the roadside on Thursday before 4pm and I'll collect the glass, sort and recycle it after work :)

If you've noticed a missed call from a number you don't recognise (particularly international numbers), it is important that you don't call this number back and consider reporting this as a potential scam.

Phone companies are advising customers to reject these calls and if you have friends or family living overseas, it is recommended to have their numbers added as contacts in your mobile phone, so you can identify when they are calling you.

- Check out these tips from Netsafe for how to help protect yourself from scams.
- Read about the different types of scams you could be caught out by including wangiri (one ring) and 'technical support' scams
- Find out how to report a phone scam here.

If you’re not sure if something is legitimate or genuine you can contact Netsafe free advice seven days a week on 0508 NETSAFE or visit netsafe.org.nz
