๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™€๏ธ Itโ€™s Not OK - November 1st to 30th ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ

The Team from Neighbourhood Support New Zealand

Creating safer communities means ensuring that no one lives in fear of harm on the streets or in their own home. For the month of November, we want to raise awareness and work together to end all forms of violence including family harm, elder and child abuse, sexual assault, gang violence, and more. These victimisations affect us all and can have lasting effects that spill into our everyday lives including at work and school.

To do your part this month, perhaps consider supporting a womenโ€™s refuge or work with Police in your area to host an info night on how to identify elder or child abuse in your community. This monthโ€™s campaign also coincides with White Ribbon Day on 25 November which is an internationally celebrated day that aims to prevent violence towards women.

Let us know how youโ€™re spreading the โ€˜Itโ€™s Not OKโ€™ message in your home or in your community by tagging us in your posts + using the following hashtag so we can see what you get up to:

Weโ€™re adjusting the electorate boundaries

Electoral Commission

Weโ€™re adjusting our electorate boundaries for the next two general elections.

By making sure each electorate has about the same number of people, we can give all New Zealanders equal representation in Parliament. Itโ€™s all balance.
If we move one of your electorate boundaries, you could end up in a different electorate to the one youโ€™re in now โ€“ so we show you what weโ€™re proposing before we make any changes and give you the opportunity to share your thoughts.

The team Reporter from Sunday Star Times

Hi Neighbourly - we're looking for a first-home buyer to talk about why it was their goal to buy a house and the reasons behind it (need to be willing to be pictured with it).
