Anyone out there looking for some paid casual work?
Hello folks, we are looking for a few people who would like to be on a short list of casual on call, to come and help at Tauhara Centre, in Acacia Bay Taupo. Now that our borders are closed, we have no more backpackers passing through - therefore we need local people who would like to earn some dollars. We pay $20 per hour for help with either dishes, veggie chopping, housekeeping or organic garden. We are a friendly bunch , and provide a meal when you are on shift or takeaway.
All training will be given, and we are smoke free, low alcohol. Look up our website for more information on who we are.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
