Nominations open for Youth Awards

Do you know an impressive young person who has achieved great things this year? Now is your chance to nominate them for the annual Taupō District Youth Awards.

Young people from years 7 - 13 can be nominated in any of the five categories including:

Arts
Academic
Sport (individual and team awards)
Leadership/Innovation
Resilience

Nominations are split into three age-groups: years 7 - 8, years 9 - 11 and years 12 – 13. A panel of judges will select a winner and runner-up in each of these age-groups with an an overall all-rounder then chosen across all age-groups and categories.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
