Hi neighbours, please join me for a cuppa, bikkie and friendly chat onFriday 5 July, in the Kowhai Room, Ruapehu Wing of Waiora House, Corner of Spa Road and Motutaiko Street.  Any and all issues of interest to our local community are discussed.  Whether you'd like to hear about local developments, our roads, or perhaps you'd like to hear more about the recent voting outcome on the Euthanasia Bill in Wellington or the new taxes that came into force on 1 July for example - come along and join in the discussion!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
