Poll: New #LOVETAUPO sign - Do you love it?
Our local tourism organisation has put up a sign between the lake and the bars on Roberts St.
What do you think about it?
Should #LOVETAUPO be permanent, like the Hollywood or Wellywood sign, or just special occasions? Have you had a photo with it? Do you feel patriotic for Taupo?
Note: Please write NFP beside your comment if you don't want it to be used in a print story.
-
50.6% I love it! Make a permanent one for the spot
-
21.3% It's an eyesore, take it away, it ruins the view of the lake.
-
28.1% It's okay, but I'd prefer they only bring it out during big tourism weekends

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
