The extensive grounds of hospice house provide a unique environment for patients, their families and the bereaved to pause for quiet reflection or use as an activity base.
The gardening team is responsible for the planning and completing of the maintenance, development and ongoing improvement of the grounds.
We have everything from flower gardens, orchards, lawns, native plants and a greenhouse - with lots of plans for further development.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
