Mitre 10 MEGA Taupo and Kids Greening Taupo

Mitre 10 Mega

Mitre 10 Mega Taupo once has again been involved with Kids Greening Taupo for the third year running as part of getting out there in the community and helping make a difference.

Mitre 10 Mega Taupo donated round about $5000 worth of gardening essentials for Kids Greening Taupo to use over the next twelve months with different planting activities happening around the region. Last year Greening Taupo planted over 25,000 native plants across 10 community planting days. Wow what a great effort and a huge impact on our community and environment.

The donated gardening essentials from Mitre 10 consisted of goods like digging spades, forks, gloves, potting mix and pruners to name a few.
We know these are going to get well used and will help make a real difference for Kids Greening Taupo in the terrific job they are doing.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
