Time to look into your family history
August is National Family History Month - which is being promoted throughout New Zealand.
The Lake Taupō Genealogy Group which has a display in the Taupō Library in support of this promotion, provides free research at the library every Thursday from 9am to 1pm.
Convenor Terri Foley has been involved with the group since 1982 and says she, along with other members, has a wealth of knowledge to share.
LTGG also holds a number of family history books which are available on loan through the Taupō Library.
