Escarpment Track closed
As a result of the heavy rain in the Kāpiti on Wednesday night overnight the Escarpment Track has sustained damage and has been CLOSED. The raging stream, pictured below, knocked out a wooden bridge on the track, sending debris down the hill and onto SH1.
The gates at each end have been locked and closed signs shown. Please stay away from the area for now.
