Police are reminding people to be prepared and notify others of their plans ahead of Labour Weekend.
If you are planning to take to mountain and bush tracks, ensure you have suitable equipment and enough supplies; maps, a compass, personal locator beacon and a cellphone; and always leave detailed trip intentions with a contact person.
