The Voting Climate: A Stuff survey of every council candidate
Hi Neighbours,
As part of Stuff's Quick! Save the Planet project, we are contacting every candidate in every council race to ask a series of questions about climate change. We're also asking them all for a short position statement on climate change issues.
We'll publish the results of our survey on a special section, in time for when ballot papers start arriving in mailboxes at the end of next week.

Poll: Is the government doing enough to help safeguard our marine environment?
Sea surface temperatures in New Zealand are rising faster than the global average, and Southland is among the quickest to warm.
While that might sound like great news for anyone hoping for a perfect swimming summer, there’s a downside: continued warming could have serious impacts on our coastal ecosystems.
