What does "stronger" look like?
This is one of the questions youth are being asked during Youth Week this week. Young people between the ages of 12-24 can go along to My Space at the Marlborough Youth Trust this evening (Tuesday, May 11) and contribute their interpretation of "We're stronger Together", through the painting of a mural which will later be displayed on the outside wall of the Trust. Join in from 5pm-7pm.
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Old Grubber handle
SharpAs Tool Tips
Another great tool from yesteryear. While the quality steel in a grubber will last indefinitely with proper care, the handles eventually wear out. With a new handle fitted and the steel refurbished, this grubber is now set to give many more years of service.
If you have old or new tools to restore — chisels, drills, utensils, knives, or other items needing sharpening or reconditioning — come and see me:
