Head Lice & Nit Treatment, Removal & Solutions
Not Life Threatening …So not a problem? I don’t Think So!
By opening the service called Kaore Nga Kutu, Robyn is opening up also the proverbial can of worms ..or in our case the common household pest discussion on Head Lice Infestation … sometimes it turns into an ‘epidemic’ …. At other times it’s just a plain old nuisance.
Evidence has shown that household crowding is at an all-time high and poverty quite rampant in our community, so that an open discussion on the effects of head lice & nit infestation and the impact on education, physical health, relationships, friendships, sleeping patterns and mental health in our youth, children, parents & guardians becomes more significant to the over-all, and holistic, health of individuals in our community.
Robyn has a proven method to remove Head lice, and all research (USA) has shown that with the use of a shampoo or treatment on the hair, you can remove or kill up to 35% of head lice & nits, yet by using an appropriate combing process they have found that up to 97% of head lice & nits are removed.
Robyn is offering this service to those who don’t know how to remove lice & nits, or don’t want to do it themselves ..or perhaps just want someone else to start the ball rolling in getting an infestation cleaned up at their place. Giving families a choice of how they go about doing this most common of time-consuming tasks in the home.
Some hints to follow are …do not use extra amounts of any lice medication unless instructed to do so by your physician and pharmacist. The drugs used to treat lice are insecticides and can be dangerous if they are misused or overused. Also. all treatments should be kept out of the eyes. If they get onto the eyes, they should be immediately flushed away. And, do not treat an infected person more than 2–3 times with the same medication if it does not seem to be working. This may be caused by using the medicine incorrectly or by resistance to the medicine. Always seek the advice of your health care provider if this should happen. He/she may recommend an alternative medication. Finally, do not use different head lice medications at the same time unless instructed to do so by your physician and pharmacist.
Robyn believes there are some cheaper ways of treating Head Lice, but if its been going on for long periods of time then you should seek help …it is common to pick up the odd head lice, but it is not normal, nor good for you or your child to be continually going through head lice infestations. If this is happening to you, you really do need help …

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
