Coffee Cheese n’ Crackers - FREE TAI CHI

Melissa from Owhata

Hi neighbours! Here at Coffee Cheese n’ Crackers we are always looking for ways to improve our overall wellbeing. At our weekly meetings (Friday’s 6pm-7:30) we chat with each other, provide peer support, and discuss coping strategies which may help.

Some of our members find Tai Chi really helpful, and it is shown to elevate mood and help with anxiety. It is for this reason that we reached out to the wonderful people at Taoist Tai Chi!

They have agreed to come out and talk to us about Tai Chi and give us a bit of a lesson. Come on down this Friday between 6pm and 7:30pm at Linton Park Community Centre to check it out!

ALL WELCOME!

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
