Rotorua Roaring Knights Chess Club
The Rotorua Roaring Knights CC is a new chess club in Rotorua. Chess enthusiasts from all ages and levels are welcome to join. Chess is a great way for you to train your memory and reasoning skills, use your imagination and so much more: chess teaches you how to make decisions and how sometimes you have to give up something good to obtain something better. Good chess players think what the opponent's next move will be and thus learn to look at a situation from another's point of view. Chess also teaches you that good outcomes are the result of the combined effort of all the pieces on the board. One strong piece usually is insufficient to make a difference. The skill to coordinate all the pieces, letting them work together is one of the keys to improve in chess.
