Friday night at the Observatory
Nelson Astronomical Society is about to start it's winter public observing season. Most clear Friday nights until daylight savings we will open the Cawthron Observatory at Cliffton terrace School and for a small donation you can enjoy views through several different telescopes including our wonderful Celestron C-14 scope. The Lower Moutere Scout den is available for hire. Ideal for meetings, Childrens birthdays, Craft classes, Band practices, etc. The den is heated with a recently installed heatpump. There is a small kitchen, Full size electric stove, Fridge and Toilet facility. A new Strand board wooden varnished floor, A piano if you wish to play, and seating.
