Mystery Noise Solved.

Jill from Blenheim

To all those who replied to my original post or are interested, I am very pleased to say the mystery has been solved. Yesterday I went to the local police station and spoke to two helpful ladies. The noise has been identified and verified as coming from the gravel crushers at Renwick. One of the ladies lives at Renwick and she said that the description of the noise and the times it was heard was a perfect match to what she hears. What I find hard to understand is that out of the many, many people I spoke to only two ladies said they had heard a noise and yet I have heard it regularly and loudly every evening for months but no one else could hear it. I was given hearing aids 2 years ago because" my hearing was not good" but stopped using them last year as every thing was too loud and yet I could hear this noise so clearly. Nothing wrong with my hearing!
