lost and found

Helen from Wakefield

To the person who lost their Double Brown beer can sometime this last week...……...I found it lying in front of my letter box! Clearly visible so it was hard to miss! You are welcome to come pick it up any time! I am sure you have been worried about your missing beer can. Perhaps because it 'accidentally' fell out of your car, perhaps it all of a sudden 'flew' out of your open car window, wanting to see more of the world! Of course you are aware just like every New Zealander that lost cans like yours are spoiling our Green and Clean image and are polluting our world, so of course you would like to come pick it up so you can dispose of it the right way! As for all the 'lost' Take away coffee cups, candy bar wrappers, empty water bottles and plenty of boozy cans and bottles that I regularly pick up from the Neudorf road berms......they are still waiting here to be picked up by their rightful owners! By the way......drinking alcohol while driving is frowned upon here in New Zealand. Just so you know. You are welcome.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
