Hi neighbours - Blenheim residents are preparing to hunker down for winter, with many making moves in the home heating department.

The Marlborough District Council issued more than 70 consents for log or wood burners in May. They were a mix of upgrades, new builds, and replacements of "non-compliant" fireplaces.

Home heating accounted for a little under half of all buildings consents last month. Read more here.
