Our Hometown

Jake Kenny Reporter from Community News

Good morning Cantabrians,

Copies of The Press's special 10th anniversary earthquake supplement Our Hometown are available from The Press reception at 158 Gloucester Street. The 28-page magazine profiles business survivors and quake heroes, heritage which has survived and been lost and considers how our city's leadership has changed.

Waimak Open Door sausage sizzle tomorrow!

Janine from Swannanoa - Ohoka

Hi everyone!
We at Waimak Open Door will be having a sausage sizzle tomorrow from 11 onwards. It is a fundraiser for us so we can help those in need within the community.
We’re at 45 Charles street, Kaiapoi, next to the skatepark.
Come along, have a sausage and a chat, see what Waimak Open Door is all about.
Thankyou.

What type of tree is this?

Richard from Rangiora

Hi folks - anyone know what type of tree this is? We think it might be birch but we aren't sure (and aren't tree experts)
Thanks in advance.
