Landlords slashing rents in Queenstown
Hey neighbours, as one of the country's most popular resort towns, Queenstown is used to having high demand for accommodation with rents increasing to match. Until now.
Since the Covid-19 lockdown, there's been a "staggering" increase in the number of available rentals. The median weekly rent in the Queenstown-Lakes district has also dropped $100 since February as landlords slash their rents - some by as much as 50% - in a bid to attract new tenants.
