Ko te wai te ora ngā mea katoa - Water is the life giver of all things.
Each body of water has its own Mauri (life force) and is considered taonga (sacred).
What is the first memory that springs to mind when you think of your connection to water ? Which body of water holds the most significance to you ? How can we better protect Te mauri O te wai to ensure future generations get to connect to these places as we have ?

Share a word, memory or thought about your connection to water on the back of the water droplets and add your water to the Wairere (waterfall). Watch the strength of our waterfall grow as the community comes together to share their stories and connections with water.

So we’re curious…
How are you feeling about the current property market?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.

We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?

Keen to dig deeper? Mike White has the scoop.
