Residents within 10km downwind of the Hampton Downs landfill fire are being advised to keep their doors and windows closed and to stay inside, to prevent breathing in smoke.

Rural residents in the area who collect rainwater from the roof should disconnect the supply and clean their roof before collecting water again. Keep up-to-date here
