I certainly did, exploring rural Franklin with the family, on a road trip through Waingaro to Raglan on sunny Easter Monday, which followed an outing to the picturesque Awhitu lighthouse at the tip of the Manukau Heads the day before.
Both are beautiful spots, and we enjoyed stunning drives getting to our coastal destinations on our Easter weekend adventures.
We have another short week this week - and next, with Anzac Day on Tuesday, April 25.
The district has a proud history in acknowledging our war time heroes and each year the local RSAs do a fabulous job paying tribute to those who sacrificed so much. We’ll have full coverage of Anzac events online next week and in print on Thursday.
*To accommodate the public holiday on Tuesday, we are publishing on Monday next week.
Cheers, Julie :)
This simple yet classic recipe makes 20 biscuits and takes as little as 15 minutes to bake in the oven. Share these with loved ones or put aside a batch in a basket for your neighbours and friends. They a go perfectly with a good hot cuppa! Check out the recipe!
