It was a privilege to attend the nominees evening for the Pukekohe Business Association Best in Business Awards on Thursday.
Franklin County News is proud to be the event’s media sponsor and is grateful for the opportunity to be part of a such a fabulous annual event which does a superb job celebrating the success of business and enterprise in our town.
Congratulation to all the nominees and congratulations to Kendyl Sullivan and her PBA team for organising Thursday’s event at ANZ Pukekohe.
There was a lot of excitement in the room and it was clear all there were very proud to be on the nominees’ guest list.

A great new cycleway for Puketapapa!

If we can provide safe cycleways for students to cycle to school, we can potentially cut morning peak traffic on the roads by up to 10%. It's a concern that while most baby boomers walked or cycled to school, only 3% of secondary students cycle to school today.

Cycling lowers congestion, reduces carbon emissions and provides healthy exercise for students when rising obesity rates among our kids is a growing worry.

And it’s now in New Zealand – sightings have been reported in Kerikeri in Northland, Waitara in Taranaki and Te Kuiti in Waikato.
