Myrtle rust has been spotted. Have you seen any?
Porirua City Council said it was only a "matter of time" before the deadly tree fungus myrtle rust was found locally.
The council discovered the fungus on a row of ramarama shrubs on Parumoana St, opposite the Pak 'N Save supermarket earlier this month. Have you seen any around? How do you think we're doing with efforts to stop its spread? Comments may be used in print unless specified otherwise with NFP.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
