And so do we. This good sort has inspired a new series of articles highlighting those who do a lot of good but often go unmentioned.
We can't call it the Good Sort series because, well, that's already used by TV1 so instead we will call it Our People.
We have a few potential ideas already, but what we are really after is recommendations from you about who you think deserves a mention.
It could be someone you know who does something kind, something thoughtful, anything for the sake of helping someone else.
We will follow it up and, if they're keen, work on an article for Our People that might inspire another just like that Porirua grandfather.

Unfortunately the person who recently came forward and offered to do this is no longer available. So we are on the look out again for a volunteer who can provide some more structured activity/play at our Grandparents Looking after Grandchildren Playgroup on Wednesday's mornings during term time from 10am - 11.30am. The structure may include songs, stories or age appropriate craft, and a time for eating.
